An entertaining game of football that was unsupressed till its sequel.
The gameplay is fast paced, smooth and fun. The game handles incredibly well, the movement is smooth and passing is a joy. The shooting is also well handled as it is simple to learn but also allows more experienced gamers to pull of some stunning shots. To be honest everything about this game is well handled. The AI is rather easy to beat but that does not always matter as the game is so much fun. A good addition is the range of pre-match options which allow you to determine the strength of the opposing team. The tactical options are also in depth and allow you to edit formation, strategy and tactics.
The graphics are great. The attention to the players and the stadium is great especially the small things like the flag waving fans. The pitch itself looks a little to 'clean' but that is just a minor problem when compared to how great the rest of the games graphics are. The menus are nicely done and easy to navigate which is always a good thing!
The audio is average. The commentary is a bit repetitave but does manage to keep track which is good The music is ok nothing special but nothing offensive. However the stadiums crowds do sound excellent and perfectly capture the atmosphere of a real football game well
The one player game is good fun and it should last you a while especially if you try the challenge options. The multiplayer is also good fun and will last you a lot longer than you think.
Overall, this game offers a solid one player mode and a great multiplayer. The graphics are good and the audio is saved by the great in match atmosphere.
