You can shoulder charge the opponent's goalie right after he punts by pressing A+B. The ref will NOT call a red card or any penalty. Then if you get the ball back quickly enough just shoot to score easily. It helps if you can get the goalie far out in the goalie box so he cannot recover as fast.

I'm sure that you've been fiddling around with the Create Player
option, and created your own likeness with your name on it and assigned
him to your favourite team. But, have you considered making a WHOLE
team from scratch? It's very much possible, and it's the ONLY way to
have good stats. Let me guide you through those steps to that Dream
Team....

Step 1 - Finding the "Create A Player" option. Just select the 7th
option in the main screen(Assuming you read the main page like a book,
left to right, up to down), which is the Options screen, then select
the 4th option.

Step 2 - You'll be presented with a Menu stating all the possible
positions and position combinations(DF/MF, for example, stands for
Defender/Midfielder). For this test, choose a Goalkeeper(GK).

Step 3 - Choose a name(You can use english characters, it's the far-
right option). Names like Taffarel or Seaman would be good.
Alternatively, just randomly enter any Japanese name and move on.

Step 4 - Choose a face. Unfortunately, you've only got 32 faces to
choose from, and more than half of them are ugly. Pick one you want and
move on.

Step 5 - Now, the most important part of the process, the stats list.
Basically, you'll get randomly generates stats, and can improve the
player's stats by a certain amount of points, usually depending on how
good your player's original stats are. Usually, if your character
already has an overall rating in the low 80s, he won't get many points
to boost stats in(Probably aorund 30-40), and if your character has
crap for stats, he'll probably get a lot of points to put in his
stats(Around 70-80). However, what you want here is superhuman stats,
right? In that case, if you get an average below 86, quit the whole
thing(Go on to the next screen, then choose the second option twice)
and repeat steps 2 to 4 and hope you've got good stats again. This will
probably take a long time, so don't give up just because you haven't
found a superman within your first 5 tries. In general, Defenders
should have an overall stat of 87, Midfielders 88, Strikers 87 and
Wingers 89. Occasionally, the game might throw a 90-point overall your
way, take full advantage of it. Note that 12 stat points equals 1
overall point.

Step 6 - Save your character to one of the 48(!) possible slots.

Step 7 - Go back to Step 2 and this time choose a Defender. Repeat
steps 3-6. Continue until you have 16 supermen, your front 11 and 5
subs just in case. I like to have one Goalkeeper, 3 Defenders, 1
Defender/Midfielder, 2 Midfielders, 2 Midfielders/Strikers, 2 Strikers,
1 sub Defender, 1 sub Defender/Midfielder, two sub Midfielders/Strikers
and 1 sub Striker. This fits my usual 3-3-4 formation perfectly.

Step 8 - Go back to the options screen and choose the 3rd option this
time. Now do a massive clearout in your favourite team, and insert your
team in it.

Congratulations! You now have a team of supermen to wipe the
competition with! However, remember back to Step 5? You have to choose
where to put your stat points correctly. You don't want a Striker with
99 Tackle and 65 Shot Power, do you? Here are what's best to use for
which position.

Goalkeeper - Speed and Dash are probably the most important stats for
him. They're the 4th from top in the left hand column and the 1st from
top in the right hand column respectively. After that, just increase
his Stamina(2nd from top of right-hand column) and Shot Power/Shot
Accuracy(2nd and 3rd from top in left hand corner respectively).

Defender - Stamina and Tackle(Bottom stat in right-hand corner) are
obviously the most important stats. After that, it's Speed and Dash to
catch up with those annoying wingers.

Wingbacks - I never use these, but if you want them, go for Speed,
Dash, Stamina and Tackle, in that order. They'll be supplying crosses
only, so there's no need to beef up their Shot Power.

Midfielder - These are the toughest, as they have to have decent Tackle
to perform as Defenders during the opponent's attacks, yet they also
need Shot Power and Accuracy for YOUR own attacks, Head Accuracy(Third
option in right-hand corner) for corners and Free Kicks and they STILL
need the Stamina I'm sure you're craving after trying out one of the J-
League teams whose players seem to have the average stamina of an
asthmatic 75 year old. Add the Dash and Speed ratings needed for your
men out wide, and you have one tough decision to make. I would choose
Tackle, Stamina, then Dash and Speed on your defensive Midfielder,
while your men out wide should go for Dash and Speed, then Stamina,
then Head Accuracy.

Winger - Ahh, my favourite kind of player. And rather ironically,
they're almost as tough to build as Midfielders. They DEFINITELY need
Speed and Dash, with Stamina coming soon after that. Head Accuracy is
needed as when you use one Winger, the other will usually head into the
box waiting for a cross. If you somehow still have spare points after
that, beef up Shot Power and Shot Accuracy.

Striker - This is easy. Shot Power and Shot Accuracy all the way, then
Head Accuracy, then Stamina. Speed and Dash don't hurt either.
