This game was created by Konami, the same company that created Contra. That was a fun game that was pretty popular. In that game, you were on foot, and you just basically blasted your way through the levels. Now Konami decided to make a game where you can drive a military jeep. This game does leave out the infamous Konami Code, however, that doesn't matter. This game proves that military jeep driving is just awesome.

The gameplay is simple. You're in a military jeep, and you drive through the levels, blasting anything in your way. There is not much explanation needed here. There are ten levels to plough your way through, and an extra hard mode once you beat the game. Though this game isn't a walk in the park. It's a walk in a battlefield where people and machines want to blow your face off, and it only takes one shot for them to do that. It is a rather difficult game, and you will need to learn enemy patterns. However, the challenge is not that aggravating, unlike in many other NES games. This game remains hard without you wanting to bite the controller. It's a great challenge that does feel satisfying when you beat it.

All the mechanics of this game works well. Driving around in the jeep is neither too slow or too fast. It's pretty easy to control. Shooting is not difficult at all. The game is well designed. The graphics aren't wonderful, but they are good. The music is repetitive, however, the tune is good and memorable, so it's forgivable. There could be more sound effects though. There are no real noticeable mechanical flaws in this game, which makes it even more enjoyable.

Overall, this is a great game that any NES fan should try out. It is a difficult game, but you will enjoy the challenge. Plus, this game is just plain fun. Trust me, it's an awesome feeling when you run over a little sprite that thinks it can take out your destructive military jeep. "Take that, sucker!" The mechanics are fluent and no major flaws are noticeable. There is multiplayer, which is also fun. This game is a true classic, and it seems as if not enough people know about this game. It's not rare, but the fun factor of this game is so high, it really should get more attention. For any of you Wii owners, if this game ever comes out on the Virtual Console, it is certainly worth the $5.
