Oh Yes, Jak Just Got Cooler...

User Rating: 9.2 | Jak 3 PS2
Jak II is a tough act to follow, but Jak 3 ends the trilogy with a bang.

Once again, you play as Jak, and you have been banished from Haven City, and you must sneak back in and stop the war between the Krimzon Guard, Metal Heads, and Krimzon Bots. Once you return to the city, and get some butt kicking weapons, you'll find yourself fighting the good fight in these never ending battles. You have eight more weapons to unlock, and you can also get the guns from Jak II. Now, I bet you're wondering, how to you create a sequel to one of the best games for the Playstation 2? Naughty Dog has pulled it off, by adding in plenty of new gameplay, new areas, new options, and loads more. You can still become Dark Jak, though into the game, you can become Light Jak, who is more useful in the platforming sections with the ability to fly, slow down time, create a shield, and heal yourself in the middle of a fight. The missions are fun, though they feel like missions from Jak II, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, though you will find yourself playing similar missions. Also, this is the first time you can play as Daxter on foot, which is pretty fun, and breaks up Jak's scenes a bit, and is just basic fun. All the best characters from Jak II are back, and some new dudes and dudettes. There is a lot more styles of play, from target shooting, to racing in a desert. These make for some fun times, and give a great alternative to fighting the forces of evil.

Jak 3 is a great way to end the Jak and Daxter series, and even though it isn't as good as Jak II, it's still a fun game with a great story which ties up all the loose ends.
