After jak saving Haven City in the previous game, Jak 3 begins with the banishment of Jak to the wasteland because of a previous attack of the metal heads. The counsel thought his friendship with Krew helped the metal heads get into the city and so ordered for Jak to be banished. Out in the desert along with Daxter and Pecker, they were found half-dead by Damas, king of Spargus. Suddenly, they find themselves in Spargus. Damas explains that in the wasteland everything is either useful or dead weight. So, in order to stay in Spargus, Jak and Daxter are ordered by Damas to prove themselves worthy in the arena. If they win they are allowed to stay. If not they’re out of there. The gameplay hasn’t changed much. You just go around and do missions but the game itself has had a few “enhancements”. In the previous game you could transform into Dark Jak thanks to the experiments with dark eco that Baron Praxis had done. Now, you can also play as Light Jak. This feature has 4 abilities. Power of slowing time, light shield, healing yourself (very useful) and finally you can grow wings and fly. The weapon inventory has been largely extended. In the previous game you only had up to 4 weapons. Now you got up to 12 including a weapon that looks like a mini nuclear bomb. You also got new vehicles for roaming the wasteland. New characters have been put to the game and some old ones such as Samos, Torn and Ashlin. Compared to the previous games, Jak 3 is the best one yet. A must buy for the lovers of the series.
