Im not a big fan of platformers, they annoy the hell out of me, but this game didnt, in fact, i found it brilliant, with good graphics, excellent humour and an outstanding storyline. as the third im a strong series, i expected this game to be the let down, in the same way that godfather 3 lets down its series, but it doesnt. Jak 3 improves on the insane difficulty of jak 2 by making it just that little bit more easier. this game has little in the way of replay value because it relies so heavily on its jokes and extraordinary storyline, so playing it a second time means you miss that. the unlockables are fun but last about ten minutes until they become less interesting.

The game starts how it should, an easy, simplistic level that explains the stroyline to newcomers and also eases you into the new world that the game is set in. within time you are introduced to an array of interesting enemies and environments, and unlike some games you actually feel for the characters as if they were the people in a good movie/book. The gun upgrades are an excellent addition to the guns of jak 2 as well. Its funny also that this games layout and gameplay reminded me at times of GTA, the map gives you a selection of quests, you can hijack vehicles and attack anyone you want.

Even in a world of next gen consoles, if you have a console that this game is written for then buy it. im glad i did
