Jak 3 is the conclusion of the franchise, well it would've been if Jak X hadn't been released. This game is very fun with lots of high action and energy and its fast paced. Just a little too short. In fact, this game is shorter than Jak II and Jak & Daxter, the Precursor Legacy. This game does continue the dark story line that we find in Jak II. Jak is banished to the waste land because of his dark gifts. Daxter and Pecker come with him to offer some much needed comic relief--and let me be the first to say that Daxter is extremely funny in all three games. Jak meets up with Damas, king of Spargus (a desert kingdom), learns of his true heritage, and he learns who the precursors really are (trust me, you'll be shocked). This game has great atmosphere and action that will keep hardcore platform gamers happy. Buy it or rent it, you'll be satisfied.
