It's solid, but it has some shortcomings that will send some of it's fans straying from this title.

User Rating: 7.7 | Jak 3 PS2
Let's face it, Jak and Daxter are one of the coolest duos to ever take in the virtual industry because of their sense of humor and their attitude towards their opponents. I was pretty pumped for Jak 3 when I heard it was coming at around Christmas time. Sadly, it was not quite the game that i had hoped for.

So Jak has been arrested and put in the desert. He then finds himself in this Fortress town in the middle of the desert, an interesting start. The story I found to rather well done in the game which should keep most fans coming back to find out "what happens next". But the next question is, is it fun?

Yes and no. Jak 3 has a ton of missions that go from to easy all the way to impossible, and that's not including the little missions which you pay orbs for. But you may find some of these missions to be generic and far to similiar to previous missions in the game, and even sometimes from the previous games! So try not to expect all the games to be fun, or your dissapointed will just grow a foot more. But one of the things I found cool in the game was dark AND light Jak. Those moves were as exciting as they were fun to use. The game also sports many more weapons then Jak 2 as well as a nice variety of vehicles to use. Now you might be asking me why I am making it sound so good? Because now comes another downside, gameplay wise. The vehicles though they look very different, do not at all work different from eachother. They either shoot grenades or assault with alot of lead, with one that can jump high.

The graphics I found weren't even as good as the previous ones. It seems as though in the Jak series, the graphics decreased as the games went by, but they still stand out in this game as exceptional, and shouldn't annoy many players.

The music wasn't good, I said it. I didn't like it much at all, it didn't even fit the game nearly as well as the previous titles, so you're ears won't be getting any treats when playing this game except for the many radio signals that the guards sound to each other which does add somewhat to the atmosphere.

So what do I have say? Rent it. Although it wasn't the greatest finish to the series, it should still be tried by anyone who loved the series as much as i did. I still love Naughty Dog and will always be a fan of those guys, but i dont have a problem saying that one of their games wasn't that amazing.

Light Jak: Tons of missions, Some really cool weapons, a well-paced story and a lot of cool unlockables

Dark Jak: Not always entertaining, Some glitches, Level design isn't inventive.
