Jak is entrusted into a new but somewhat familiar world. Here, he will face new challenges with old and new characters with his trusty sidekick Daxter. Jak and Daxter was already a personal favorite but this added more to the legacy, no pun intended. With a new serious attitude means a more mature story, at least compared to the first one. Daxter is still the comic relief so that is still present but other characters know the stakes are higher now. Jak 2 introduces us to new larger world with weapons and vehicles, perhaps taking a page out of GTA. Players can now shoot guns and use vehicles, even steal them. The violence is not as dangerous meaning no real killing unless you're worried about the metal heads. As with most sequels we're introduced to new characters and villains. Baron and metal head leader aren't as cartoony like Gol and Maia were. Overall this was enjoyable game. Great to see and hear Jak actually speak besides groans and yelling. The story was more personal for Jak and the player could feel it. It's perhaps my favorite game and i hope the players enjoy it.
