Having beaten Jak and Daxter by collecting all the Power Cells, Jak II takes place right after you collect all the Power Cells. The plot has some problems, but the game itself is HUGE! Some of the missions you go on don't always affect the world around you like the missions in Jak and Daxter, but they are a little more challenging. The enemies are more detailed and the new graphics are fantastic. The awesome voice acting continues and the best parts of this triumphant sequel are the ability to hijack, 'borrow', or get into a hover vehicle that has its own levels of taken-damage, speed, size, and even, weight! Second, is the bad ass gun that Jak gets later in the game, called the Morph Gun, that can change from a shotgun-like weapon, into an electronic rocket launcher mod. The enemies, known as the Krimson Guards, will actually get into a position to take you down. Oh yeah, how could I forget? The best thing to happen to Jak ever, other than the ability to turn into a vicious beast called Dark Jak. Jak has a voice, a very well-acted voice. As Dark Jak, you can gain new dark powers by collecting the Skull Gems of enemies, known as the Metal Heads, powers like from a spinning vortex of destruction to a large bomb-like explosion that can send enemies flying out of your way. The Jet-Board, a hovering skateboard, can be used to either piss off the Krimson Guards or to pull off the best tricks. Races are another great feature in this where you blaze through lightning fast hover car tracks where you can easily crash into a wall and end up making Daxter a hilarious stain. The most noticable of all the characters is the fat ass, loveable blob of blubber, Krew.
If you liked the first jak and daxter game, you'll absolutely love the smash hit sequel and positively the best in the series! The gameplay is bit similar with the different styles of attacks and movement to the first... Read Full Review
