Rent this one. Its a fine game on most accounts. Great production values really bring James Bond to life in this one, as the glitz and far fetched tails associated with the secret super agent are woven together into a package that does not merely use the 007 license but wears it with pride. I am not a huge Bond fan, but like many, am aware of or have seen most of the Bond movies out there, and yes there are certain things that make a Bond movie a Bond movie: The music, the blood down the barrel of the gun thing, the villian, the plot to rule the world, the women. You will find all of it here, showing that the producers put a ton of extra effort into this one. The game itself is well executed, very plot driven, very linear. The controls add a twist to the formula though, and I think they are a worthy effort. By stepping outside the box though, the mechanics understandably have their shortcomings, with some situations being too easy and others being too hard. Maybe next game they can refine the system a little bit. Overall its a smooth game, and the smoothness does rub off on our hero Bond. So why just rent it? Because the game ends up being very like a Bond movie. The big production, while entertaining, is definitly not deep. The gameplay isnt deep, the plot isnt deep, the love lines arent deep. No reason to run through this one twice... and the multiplayer sucks kinda hardcore. In short, yf ya like Bond you'll enjoy this one, but its not an earth shattering must have. Rent it.
