Fun for the first day. After that it's a chore to play.
The graphics of the shark are great, but the people? They look like mud. Also, why do whale sharks disappear when you hold them in your mouth and swim away?
When steering the shark around, you feel a certain satisfaction when you sneak up on person on the beach and drag them underwater with no one else notices. However, the controls aren't as fluid as I would like.
What's with the game itself? It freezes, disappearing people/fish/things, dark areas, frustrating angles, need I go on?
On the good side though, the different ways to kill your victims are very creative. Swallow them whole, rip them to pieces, torture a terrified swimmer, all of that is the strongest part of this game. The levels themselves are really just to move the story along, not much satisfaction out of it unless you kill the stupidly arrogant and ignorant mayor who denies the notion of a 25 ft shark causing trouble. But really, it's a large lonely ocean. Please, save yourself some time and money, rent it first. It's not worth the risk.
