For some quick fun but nothing more.

This game was a ton of fun to begin with cause its the first time that you get to play as the actual farmer in a role playing situation. With that said it is fun but way to short and after you buy everything there is no point in the Deere dollars you earn and you don't even have to complete all the jobs to get all the items in the game. The missions are fun but taking care of your own farm can be very time consuming. The fields are large and the implements that you get are very small and there is no difference between the big tractor and what it can pull verses the smaller tractor and what it can pull. I also do not like the selection of the tractors and implements. They could have taken just a few more minutes and made it so that when you buy them you can have them all cause there is a lot of place to put them. I have found that cutting and baling hay is the worst of all the jobs you can do. It is slow going and since you don't have a tractor with a bucket on it when bales get in the way of your windrows you have to try to push them out of the way but usually doesn't work. Also no livestock to take care of, there are chickens but you don't even get a dog just a dog house.
This game does have some upsides to it. I love driving the sprayer cause its large and you can see the change as you go through the field. The job of mowing the fairways is also fun, it doesn't pay very well but it is still enjoyable. The Deere dollars is good idea for something different, but I wish you got money from harvesting your own crops. The fossils spread out is also a nice touch cause it gives you something to do when you don't feel like farming and if you don't want to do that you can always mow the yard.
All in all I think they have the bases for a good game but it needs to be improved on. I think that there should be a game developed that lets you buy different machinery other than John Deere, like Case and Ford, and you have to earn money but you still get to play as the farmer. That would be the best game, but until then this at least kept my attention the 15 hours or so that I played it but that is about it.
