Jungle Hunt is similar in a lot of ways to Pitfall. But Jungle Hunt actually has a plot. You play a jungle explorer who has to rescue his lady from a group of cannibals who have kidnapped her. To do this, he must swing from vine to vine, survive a crocodile-infested river, jump or duck falling rocks rolling downhill, and release the girl before she "takes a dip" in the boiling cauldron. The gameplay is pretty good, and it varies depending on what level you are on. One level involves swinging from vine to vine, and if you miss you fall into nothingness. The vines swing at varying speeds, so timing is everything. Another level involves swimming through crocodile infested water. The other levels include dodging boulders and running through a group of spear chuckers who are attempting to spear you. After this, you rescue the girl and it's over. The game is pretty short and sweet.
This is the port to one of my favorite arcade classics of all time. Problem is... like I said before; it's aged and dated like a model T. It's cool, but some people might think this game is worthless. That being said ... Read Full Review
