Addicting gameplay
Ok, so you start out with enough cash to get your park started. First thing you will do is set your excavation team to work getting fossils. Once you have some fossils, you will have your researchers extract the DNA so you can start creating dinosaurs. There are around 20 different species, but the game only lets you choose 9 to put in your park.
After you build some enclosures and get the necessities for the people visiting your park, you're ready to sit back and watch. But of course, managing Jurassic Park isn't always easy. Sometimes thunderstorms or twisters will damage your fences and stress out your carnivores. Then you better get your visitors to safety or you will be fined for any casualties. There is an in-game weather forecast to help keep you informed of upcoming disasters.
You can place balloon and safari rides as well as outlooks around your park to allow your visitors to get close to your dinosaurs. If you keep your visitors happy and fulfill desires-- such as seeing herbivores and carnivores-- you may get the 5 star rating for your park.
In addition to the park building game, there are various exercises and missions to boost gameplay. You can even unlock free play-- you just release some dinosaurs on an island without having to worry about visitors.
Overall this game is fun. My only complaints are the limits on the items you can put in your park and being able to only have 9 different dinosaurs in one park. The sounds and music are good, and the graphics are mediocre. I would recommend it for fans of the 'theme park building' genre.
