Amazing world, huge amount of content, yet, missing so much.

The game Just cause when it came out, to me, was a step up in the gaming world. i had never seen such a huge world with no limit as to where i could go and how to get there. I spent many many hours in that world. I was excited to hear the development of its sequel. This however led to the disappointment when i started playing it.

People will rate this game high and praise it because like the first game its world is big, beautiful, and revolutionary in the gaming industry. I would also rate this game high, too, the game has very fun vehicle physics. I could hit a small bump and crash my ride at high speeds and no matter how good i am i couldnt correct it, in fact, any influence i made in the crash would make it worse, that, to me, felt real. You can spend hours just looking at all the different types of terrain, spend a whole day just trying to discover all the locations from small town to huge cities with a well thought out highway configurations. I also really enjoyed the grappling feature, in car chases all i had to do was grapple a following truck and make him become attached to the side of the road, sending him flying into the woods :).

However, Those are some good points, the reason i dont give this game 8.5 out of 10 is because of the MANY many small annoyances. Everyone who played it knows what i mean, and in fact, look past them to give this game generally a high mark. Lets try to inform the readers of these demerits.

First of all, the world military is the most annoying enemy i have ever played against in any game in a long time. You cause some trouble in the middle of the desert and they are there in a second with a jeep full of men escorted by 2 motorcycles with guns a blazing. Their aim is suppose to not be as great while you move or evade, but that doesnt do much as you cant attack during this evasion. So after your done rolling, they will be aiming at you again (usually 5-15 guys with big damagin guns) and you can die pretty quick if your not careful. Also would like to add that these guys have no fear in overwhelming you with truck loads of bullcrap, fighting an elite and a couple a goons can be aggravating when an enemy truck decides to try and roadkill you when you are almost dead, dodging the truck you realize a helicopter is firing a REALLY well aimed minigun at you. All this with terribly unfair spawning of the enemy can have you running out of bullets and patience quickly. Seriously, they have too good of aim, sure they are military, but come on, when i grapple the ground and fly away, who has good enough aim to be locked on me that whole time.

Taking over bases (collecting all items and destroy all objects that are red, giving you 100% in that base) can be frustrating too. As soon as you enter they somehow KNOW you are there, no matter how sam fisher you are. They will swarm you with stupid person AI firing their weapons like the trigger is stuck and the game is designed for the player who will run around like YOUR trigger is stuck. People will be flung backwards by your bullets as they die, and sometimes im not even being all the pulp fiction about it, they just want to be over dramatic about it. And when you think you lost sight of those idiots in red, just turn around, there will be a group of them coming from seemingly nowhere, sometimes showing up on the edge of the cliff behind you leaving you thinking "how the heck did you guys even get there?" needless to say, bad spawning.

Stronghold takeovers are fun at first.. But after the 2nd and 3rd one you realize that they are all exactly the same with different dialog. You take over a base with a group of mercenaries (belonging to one of 3 major groups, depends on who you are doing the takeover for) and its all the same. You start outside the base, you get the to base, you need to open the front door. Once opened, the guy you have to protect says "Scorpio, take out that "Fill in blanks" (Sniper, turret, rocket launcher, gunner), take him out, shoot bad guys, get to end, important guy twiddles with some kind of gadget, and you have to fight a wave of bad guys. In the end theres usually trucks and bad guys on foot, ending with the base leader coming at you with a helicopter. Always the same.

Glitches: One time i landed in front of a car and it started to honk at me, i stared at it to see if they would stop the constant sound of the honk. They did after the car just vanished into nothing.

I planted my triggered bombs on a field of generators and ran away to jump onto the top of a wind turbine and pulled trigger hopin to watch a field of enemy items blow up, but, all my bombs disappeared.

I was parachuting down from the sky and had discovered the military was after me, not knowing why, i started to run. I then seen a car stuck in the ground and was blown up. I think the military blamed me for a glitch spawn.
