Explore the beautiful island of Panau, blow some stuff up, and then wonder why this doesn't have co-op.
The grappling hook mechanic that was so hyped by Square Enix sadly falls short of realizing it's full potential. The tether easily snaps, preventing you from performing some of your craziest ideas. The parachute/grappling hook combo makes sure that the game flows very well, and is almost a necessity for such a large island. Vehicle control and on foot exploring alike can be quite irritating, however, as the local military seems to find that walking within their sight is an offense to the local dictatorship. Alert meters to fill for not reason, causing the military to get in the way of whatever it was you were trying to do.
Just cause 2 is a great single player game despite some of its flaws, and such an open world begs the question of why co-op for at least two was not included. Being unable to share some of the wacky experiences with a friend is what keeps this game from achieving the recognition it so greatly deserves.
