A not-so-serious fun game to pass time.

After clocking about several hours checkin out the game, i found that besides the obvious similarities to games such as "Batman & Robin: Rise of Shin Tzu" and "X-Men Legends" most of the levels, storyline and gameplay were more or less the same differentiating on just level design and other little features.

The graphics were not the best but were acceptable. I was expecting the graphics to be cartoony so there was no surprise there. The cutscenes however were just plain dull and boring. Throughout most of the game everything was just so repetitive; i expected more of a cutscene after fighting thru a level full of a horde of enemies.

There was not much of a storyline, the plot was weak and it felt as though it was written just to accommodate the level designs; there was absolutely nothing really interesting from the overall storyline. I was looking forward to selecting my favorite character and working him up the levels gaining experience points but the option of selecting a particular character (from the justice league) was not allowed. There were several glitches (mainly during the boss stages) while playing but not so serious. The replayability value is low as there is not much you can expect but the same outcome as when you first played it.

Besides the bad aspects, the game also had a rather fun and enjoyable feel. The destructive environment feature, although it has been used before, it fit well in the gameplay and was more or less an essential feature to a game of this kind. The character progression (points, skills, etc) was also something worth adding. In terms of sound, it was average, the type you'd expect from a game like this.

All in all, i've always had a soft spot for games like these as i find that it is just plain fun to mindlessly bash thru enemies. Repetitive levels, poor camera angles and seemingly boring gameplay leave Justice League sharing nothing new in terms of features and uniqueness. Worth a try for the die hard fans of this series, but nothing more than a glance for the serious gamers.
