Katamari Damacy is a good game overflowing with happy popping graphics, odd humor, and above all, originality.

The bases of the story of the game is this: Your father is the King of the Universe, and you are is son. All of the stars disappear from the sky, and he orders you, a little cute green character, his son, to roll up things on earth to make new stars. When you start out in the first few levels, it's pretty simple, you start out with a little purple ball and slowly push it along places to pick up small objects, until you can pick up bigger and bigger things, even people and buildings! The concept is very original, and has never been done before, so here's a rundown of the game.

The good:

quirky cute cube-ish graphics makes things stand out, large range of objects to be rolled up, rolling people and animals into a large ball is comical and enjoyable, good soundtrack, original gameplay, several different levels including bonus ones required to roll special things, cutscenes are just plain weird.

The bad: waiting to get the Katamari bigger to roll up large things can become tedious, time limit is really frustrating on more difficult levels, same sound every time something is stuck to the katamari, game seems a bit short, cutscenes are just plain weird.

All in all, this is a good game that should at least be rented, and I recommend it to any fan of orginal gameplay and great graphic style.
