Like rolling things up into balls? Welcome to Heaven.
Really, there's not much to it. The game has some kickin tunes that will really get you pumped up. While your in your state of being pumped up you get to use the two analog sticks to move your katamari around and pick stuff up.
The rules are simple: you can only pick up things smaller than your katamari's current size, running into things that are to big will cause you to crash and things may fall off your katamari, and you must reach the designated size before time runs out.
You'll collect a huge array of things. From thumbtacks, to animals, to people, to houses, to boats, to the islands themselves. And it feels great to. Picking up your first person is a moment you'll not soon forget. Not to mention when you get that katamari big enough to roll up houses; wow.
This game is really all about having a good time. It's a low stress game, there's no enemies to defeat. Just katamari's to roll and stars to make. It goes by fairly quickly, however, the levels are fun to play again and again. There are also some specialty levels in which you have certain objectives other than get your katamari X cm big. For example, collect the biggest bear. I wasn't to much a fan of these challenges though, I prefer to just roll up the biggest katamari possible.
Definitly a game unlike any other out there, Katamari Damacy is something to experience at least once in your life. Chances are you'll be hook and experience it again and again. I suppose I could be wrong, but I don't think so. It's bargain priced and will fit in your collection just perfect.
