I think this game was amazing by accident

This is probably one of the best baseball games ever made for any platform for one simple reason: It is really fun. The cartoon-like graphics are decent, and the game play is solid and very intuitive. Push the D-Pad to the base you want to throw to and press B. Simple. The computer is predictable and pretty dumb, especially when you have the bases loaded, it never goes for the sure out, it almost always throws for the lead runner. Also, sliding is totally useless because if the throw beats the man to the base by any length, he's out. Also running into the catcher, while fun never produces any result but an out. You can pick this game up for just a few bucks at any vintage dealer, and I strongly suggest you do so. The game was great by mistake. The is no licenses for the player names, but it does have an MLB license. So you'll get all the MLB teams (including then expansion teams the Rockies and Marlins) and all of the players stats for those teams, but their names have been changed. Each team follows a certain theme and its often fun trying to figure out what it is. For example the Royals are all U.S Presidents. The music is garbage, and the lack of player animations would seem to hamper the game, but it doesn't. It still plays well despite seeming to be only half done. Buy it.
