Brilliantly great baseball game, that has the power to entertain after all these years.

I spent many many hours on this game back in 96 or so, and to this day it still keeps me going. It cant beat EA's offerings, and those are fun as well. The game is a good bit unbalanced, in that the fielders move much faster than the runners, even if the runner's speed is faster. Another thing is that you can hit a huge amount of homeruns with a player that has a bat/power of 10 in a 162 game season. The pitching is pretty basic, and the fact that you can control the pitch to the end is both a blessing and a curse. As far as graphics go, keep in mind this game from 93. And its for a 16-bit system. There are no graphics glitches that ive ever seen, however, so it works.
The sound? Well, you get one song throughout, but the umpires (well, one guy doing *all* the voice) are pretty authentic, and the batters will occasionally say something if they strike out.

Overall gameplay? Seriously, its simple, basic, but scarily engrossing. The games move quickly, sometimes taking only 15 minutes to complete, but depending on inning-length, could take up to 40 minutes (Very possible if the game goes about about 15 innings.) Pitchers do wear out pretty quick, but every team has 10, so you *always* have a replacement.

Value. Heh. You could pick this up for dirt cheap on eBay or amazon, like-new. So if you have a super nintendo that works, and want a game to try, spend the ~$5 to buy this game. You'll not regret it.
