Ok, nevermind that this review is 6 years late because this is less of a review and more of a plea for a modern update. The gaming community is missing a lot by not having an updated Kengo ported stateside, this is excepting the garbage that is Kengo: Legend of the Nine. We need to get back to an excellent title like this one where you can train your samurai and challenge other schools, but this time we need better graphics, more schools, and a multiplayer mode. Yes, multiplayer schools with online rankings, with winnable techniques to add to our repetoire. A new Kengo would be a smash hit in the online community, unlike Legend of the Nine which was akin to a substandard, shallow remix of Samurai Warriors. In its time Kengo was an excellent game lacking only in length. Please... someone out there hear our plea. A new, serious Kengo. Please!
