Kengo...where did the story go...

I picked this game up for £3.99 and now i know why it was that price, and why so many people had traded the game in...

At first fights are interesting, fairly intense, as (like a reasl samurai) you have to wait for the optimun moment to strike. Having said that, 5 fights in they're all the same and unfortunatly the fights don't come close to saving this game.

graphically its solid but nothing special, which is dissapionting as the game only has to animate 2 guys fighting with swords. But sound wise the game is painful, yes the swords clashing against each other is all good, and so is the grunting as the character swings his sword. But the backgroung noise to some levels is painfully annoying. In one level you fight inside some sort of wooden dojo, fair enough but in the background it sounds like some women is giving birth, and its really irritating.

At just 3.99 you could say it was value for money but it really wasnt, i bored of it within a day, the game was that limited. Your main purpose in the game is to concour each dojo, while training your stats in some mediocer mini games, and eventually enter some grand tournament after all dojos are defeated. Fair enough but u go through an endless cycle of fight, train with no story to shake things up a bit. Trust me if you want a good sword fighting beat em up type game get soul caliber, not kengo.
