A classic fighting game that is still fun to play today.
There are some great characters here. Someone for everyones liking. From Glacius the alien (think liquid terminator), Sabrewulf (a wherewolf with a disease), and Fulgore (a robot created for combat). And many more.
Fighters have different combos, fighting styles and pro's/cons. My advice to you is pick your favourite fighter if you want to fight competetively.
The fights have basically 2 health bars for each fight. Once you get down to critical health the music gets more tense, and the battle gets more desperate.
The games graphics are still nice to this day. Ok, you can see the overall graphics are dated, but you can still appreciate them.
Sound is great in this game, and there is also voices in the game. For a snes cartridge, thats quite amazing. The announcer says in a cool voice "fulgore vs glacius" for example. Different fighters have their own grunts and growls. And each character/level has its own theme, which is awesome.
Only a few other fighting game series have been as good as this. Killer instinct has always been a favourite of mine. I only hope Rare will create another killer instinct one day. (i know they made an n64 version, but i was dissapointed by that version).
The bottom line is that this is a masterpiece that has to be played. A gem that should be remembered and not forgotten!
