If your willing to forgive the awkward storyline than you'll surely enjoy this game

Everyone knew, there was going to be a sequel to Killer Instinct and we weren't wrong, it's only obvious when a game does good they normally make a sequel to cash in on the name. Killer Instinct Gold takes place right after the end of Killer Instinct, which is a little confusing because the characters had ending stories at the end of the first KI game so if they knew they were going to make a sequel a little more than a year later they should have just said To Be Continued..... and leave it at that but they didn't. And to top it off some characters didn't make it in this game 3 being Thunder, Riptor and the ultra popular Cinder which is just as confusing because depending on how you read the situation you are led to believe that those three characters died but they clearly had ending stories. It's just something that really makes you say WTF! I'll give you my opinion I personally think that they died, reason is that just after Idol's death a portal opens up and sucks the Ultratech building and the fighters 2000 years into the past, so they must have died if they didn't where are they? Anyway onto the game. KI gold takes place 2000 years in the past where rivalries continue you soon find out that the new boss is a gargoyle esq boss named Gargos (It's a pun I think) They got rid of 3 characters but they added 3 so it puts the total amount of starting playable fighters at 10 which isn't a increase at all. Which is one downside to the game, since this is a N64 game you would expect something more? I know I did and it hurt when I spent as much money for this only to see 10 characters plus the one I loved most is gone. The controls are great as always the visuals were a vast improvement over the first KI game and the sounds were great. This game gets a 10 out of 10 because the Graphics, Sound's and Controls picks up for the less than stellar storyline. If they ever make another game (Which I'm hoping they will) I hope it continues the string of perfect 10's.
