At first: Wow! Later on: Meh!

User Rating: 8.5 | Killzone 2 PS3
Kill Zone 2 is a very well done game. It looks and plays fantastic, however, for every of its good aspects, there are also bad sides to counter them.

Gameplay: 8/10

KZ2 is an incredible shooter. You start the first mission explosively, watching fantastic interactive cutscenes of destroyed Helghan. The enemies bleed profusely and satisfying every time you make a well placed shot, the sound is fantastic, the bullets feel cold and real. Buildings are damageable in KZ2, adding one more way to destroy your enemies. Helghasts can be quite nasty, some elite enemies you face are ruthless and require skill and strategy to defeat. However, as the game bore on, the gameplay gradually burned into you and you no longer feel impressed by its technical marvels as you proceed through the game killing helghasts after helghasts, then repeat.

Story: 4/10

The story is very simple, you invade Helghan, expecting an easy invasion, underestimating the cunningness of the helghasts and had to pay hard price as you proceed through the game. Perhaps the simple story is stretched a little too thin on the length of this game.

Graphics: 9/10

The graphic is incredible in Kill zone 2. The game made you feel like you were in an industrial warfare. It's dark and gritty and bloody, but was the graphic an obstruction to your gaming experience. The first few levels were fantastic, the scale was great. It was only later in the game that you were confined into smaller levels that you forgot how awesome the game look, but even than, seeing dark red blood splattered around your enemy as you shot them with your industrially steely rifle was enough to appreciate that this game is a visual marvel on the PS3

Overall: 8.5/10

Kill Zone 2 is a good looking game with the average shooting mechanic and a not so important story line that will keep you entertained for as long as it last.
