User Rating: 9.5 | Killzone 2 PS3
killzone 2 was probably one of the most hyped games for the ps3, based in the year 2357CE or AD. It takes place on the helghast's home planet of helgan and is action packed and visually stunning.
Killzone 2 is the sequel to the ps2's killzone game developed by guerrilla games exclusively for the Sony play station 3. That as soon as you start playing the action draws you in from the finetuned guns all the way to the stunning graphics.

First of the story. The story of the game may not be the best aspect of the game but it certainly is packed with randomised battles that sometimes have nothing to do with the game at all, but that doesn't stop the fun, sometimes there can be hundreds of enemies all hiding and you will be ambushed or sometimes you will be faced up against a atac, all in all it is great.

The sound and music of the game really suits the type of condition the game is fought in its kind of like war music which is exactly the thing we are looking for and sometimes even sounds a bit like ratchet and clank's music which is ok. The sound effects are great if you have a surround sound you will be able to hear enemies from yards away and that can sometimes really help allot. Every gun also sounds different which helps determine what and who is shooting at you.

The controls are a bit of a pain at first but you easily get used to them and if you don't then you could always select alternate 1 or 2. The d-pad is used like an RPG to access weapons like grenades, electric grenades or the knife or in the case of online the abilities. And that's great it gives it a sort of RPG feel.

The cover system is probably the best i have seen in any fps game the hide and peek view is really effective in battles with heaps of enemies and you can just about hide behind anything. Also this provides a bit of skill to kill the enemies because they hide to but you could always shoot their helmets that always poke out or simply throw a grenade.

The graphics of the game are possible the best graphics on a console at the moment with thousands of particles and explosions and bullets going off or flying everywhere the scenery also suits the look and feel of the planet it is sort of grim and that give it the war type feel as well as the un-predictable wether. it also has kick ass dynamic lighting.

The physics of the game are un-believable everything from shooting a simple gas tank once and watching it slide across the room with gas coming out to the enemies dying are physic controlled and that probably is one of the best parts of the game.

The guns are finetunes so you can tell every gun from each other and every gun can do so much even the side arm packs a punch for its size and feels so powerful.

The enemy AI is really intelligent it knows exactly when and where to hide and will try it's hardest to kill you, but the friendly AI can become annoying but they will help you kill enemies and they allow are good at showing you where you are supposed to be so you won't die, but sometimes they get mortally wounded and you have to revive them which is a pain sometimes.

The multiplayer part of the game named "warzone" supports 32 players max which is intense most of the time and the levels vary from buildings to deserts there is usually no lag but when there is it is almost un-playable. The multiplayer missions are set to vary from one to another and this is really interesting. There are heaps of guns although there could be more and allot of rewards and ranks and the abilities are awesome but there are too many shot gunners and rocket launchers which is a bit of a shame. There are also some fun games where you can only use pistols and they are usually popular.

All in all this game is a must have for any ps3 owner with its intense campaign to its wicked multiplayer you will most likely gro
