Killzone 2 is a very overrated game. The graphics are nice but graphics don't save the boring levels and bland environments. The character models are terrible and mouth movement when characters are talking is so unrealistically implemented i thought i was back in the PS1 days. There is very noticeable lag throughout the game. The AI enemies are as dumb as nails with no flanking maneuvers and boss creatures with tactics from the 80's to defeat like shoot them until they turn around and expose a red glowing part to shoot in order to kill them. The story is boring and you really feel no connection to your AI teammates. They use cover some what but often just walk right into gun fire.
The multi-player suffers from the same boring levels and bland environments. The aiming sucks and you have to get use to firing only in short bursts. The claim here is the guns behave more realistic but i just find it frustratingly difficult and not entertaining enough to stick with it to get use to it. There is a reason why they didn't sell as many copies as they hoped and that is because it's really not that good and definitely not a 9.
