Fast paced, dizzying action sequences... excellent degrees of difficulty.

Normally I would not put a statement about the difficulty in a catch phrase but I was so impressed by it that I just felt compelled to.

This definitely was falling under the, prototypical shooter when I first sat down with it. I love shooters but I am also quite critical of them. If there is some thing that stands out as a big negative I have a hard time letting it go. That said, if a shooter hits the right notes with me I am quick to praise it (GOW 1 & 2, COD 3). I am definitely not putting this game in the category of an elite shooter but I am going to praise it.

Negatives:
I could see shadows of other recent shooters in this game for sure so I am going to take some points off for some copying. Even though I am giving this game high marks for degree of difficulty I have to say some thing about the frustration of this fact. There were some moments on the hardest difficulty that I felt like throwing the controller threw the TV. I will stress patients with this game or you will go mad.

Positives:
I will start with my catch phrase. I have not seen this kind of difficulty in a game for a while. I was really impressed with the intelligence of the AI and the challenge that offered. I felt like had I bought the game, it would have challenged me for some time. Specifically on the AI: games have started to adopt is the AI moving to cover and popping up and down, in previous games it was relatively simple to find a location and wait for them to stand up, in this game I was really impressed about the AI relocating after firing. EXCELLENT! I liked the characters although I did see some GOW thinking in this. Graphics were absolutely amazing.

This is truly a very good game, that will not disappoint. Arguably a rental but this is not a slight against it. I dont play online so I have a different perspective on this.
