Doesn't deserve the 6.9 rating
The storyline is based around 4 people who are facing impossible odds against a army called the Helghast. The main characters included in the game are Templer, Luger, Rico and Hakha. All the characters have their own skills and attribute. Templer is the all round good guy soldier who is good on the battlefield, Luger is a Shadow Marshall who are skilled with stealth and creeping into places without been detected, Rico is the one who is good with big heavy guns and relied on for making paths by shredding soldiers apart with his chaingun, and Hakha is a spy for the ISA, who can walk into Helghast territory without anyone turning their head. As you play through the you unlock these characters as you go along and are able to play as them. This gives the game some alright replay value, as each character take different paths throughout each mission.
The graphics in the game are done very well. When you start the game you are in the trenches of a battlefield, with a mist in the background and with crowds of Helghast running out of the mist. The mist really adds to the effect making you feel despret to take them down. The plantation on most missions is done well, with the odd out of place long grass here and there.
The character models are done very well on the characters and especially the Helghast. The reason for this are the glowing eyes they have. It gives them such a menacing look and feel about them. Though they do have there flaws here and there, they are pulled off pretty well
The gameplay is good, but control settings are pretty confusing at times, though it is easy to get over after about an hour. The sound is probably the best thing about this game from the gunfire to the ingame menu. When you're in the middle of a gunfight you hear Helghast shouting out orders and even your team mates, by saying critizations or saying you are doing well.
All in all Killzone is a great expeirence all round, and I definetly recommend
though i would say rent it if not sure. AT EASE SOLDIER!!!!!
