The halo killer is here, but it dosent live up to that. Acutally this game is not as good as older ps2 fps like Red Fatcion and Timesplitters 2. Killzone was Sony's attempt to not kill Halo but have something to compete with it, and it failed. Placed in the future, you are a ISA soldier fighting the evil Helgahst on a quest of universal domination, just think like WWII in space. This games plot has been done before. Everything in Killzone has been done before, better. The game is just going around, in hallways and destroyed buildings killing wave after wave of attacking Helgahst. They dont break up the missions either, no cool flying missions, or ones where you grab a tank and fight others, no, it is all just running to the next part blowing through waves and waves of helghast. The enemy AI is very tough and not that smart, they will take cover behind posts the size of baseball bats, and will just shoot from the open with out even taking cover. But they do take cover kind of well, and give good covering fire for teammates, but the only reason you will ever die is because they outnumber you 10 to 1. One on one they are not that good. The graphics are not that good even for the ageing ps2 they are not that good. The developers went for a really gritty game, sometimes the amount of grit is to much and it gets to bland and blurry. The constant drop in framerate is horrible, making the game very difficult at times. The level desing is repetitive and you will swear you have walked through that hallway 5 or 6 times. The sound is ok. It is very low quality and just sounds muffled, not crisp and clean like other titles. Also you will hear the same things from you allies 5 or 6 times in one firefight. The online play was the worst part of this game. It suffers from way to many glitches, bugs, and lag. Most of the time you cannot talk through the micophone because somebody will lock it up. There are only a few game modes on 6 or 7 maps. Simply put we have seen this game before, many times, it has been done better. With alot of polishing and some good beta testers to find the glitching, this game could have been the "halo killer".
This game is not a Halo 1 killer, however it is a super fabulous fps, with an awesome story.... Graphics don't make a game, but they help in Killzone. Overall, this game has better graphics than Halo 2! That is my opi... Read Full Review
