Something different. But not very good.
One strange thing I noticed was the save system, or lack thereof. I started the game and created a profile, played through a bunch of courses, and when I looked for a save option I couldn't find one. I figured it was auto-saved. When I turned the game on later, nothing was unlocked and I had to start over with just one course available. Did they really leave a save function out of this game??? Or is it just hidden? Either way, that's horrible design.
The Wii motion controls are obviously just tacked on. They're not intuitive at all, and they're mostly done by pushing the buttons. They just incorporated a little flick motion to actually swing, but it doesn't matter how you actually swing the remote as there's a power bar that's already set by the time you swing.
A complex, tough to master, motion controlled mini-golf game is a pretty good concept. Unfortunately it wasn't pulled off well in this case at all.
