A nice attempt to hold over fans of the series, but is merely a quick fix to the series.

My first impression of the game was that it would be a ground breaking addition to the series, and to be honest that wasn't the case, but many things did work out very well.

The best part of the game was the cut scenes, unsurprisingly enough. The quality of the scenes, was that of at least a PS2, i would rarely see a stray pixel or something, which was impressive. Also the addition of scenes on both screens was nice.

Game play wise, I thought it was a little too repetitive. You would need to do the same missions over and over in the same few worlds. I also thought it was too random to have the kind of cameos they had in the worlds that did nothing for the story. World progression was also very slow.

The look of the game was very nice, the best the DS has come out with. Backgrounds would look very similar to there PS2 counterparts, which is always satisfying, but character design wise, I felt square lacked a little. Stray pixels where a little more abundant and during some scenes, characters would have random changes in design.

This game answered many major questions of the series but also brought up a few, smaller ones. Overall, This game is great for any current Kingdom Hearts fan, but it wouldn't appeal to someone who is new to the series.
