One of the best action role-playing games to date, and without a doubt the best one on the Nintendo DS.
358/2 Days takes place behind the scenes of Kingdom Hearts One, Chain of Memories and Two. It unlocks the mysteries left unanswered in all of the previous games, and creates ones yet to be discovered. In the story mode, you play as Roxas; a young Keyblade wielder working for the shadowy Organization 13. Your missions are basically involve you visiting the various worlds of classic Disney movies, and eliminating creatures known as the Heartless. Using your trusty Keyblade, you vanquish these foes and unlock their hearts. Throughout the entire story, you also learn about the Roxas, and the way he connects to the Kingdom Hearts story. As you further complete the game, the difficulty grows harder to some points of frustration. However, playing through the entire story is a great experience and sucks into the world of Kingdom Hearts.
Besides the story, you and up to three friends can play over a wireless connection as members of the organisation. You can compete to see who destroys the most heartless, fight each other, or just have fun. There are over thirteen characters to unlock including Kingdom Hearts' hero; Sora. The multiplayer aspect of the game is great, and it's always a blast to play with friends.
For a Nintendo DS, 358/2 Days' visuals are fantastic, the gameplay mechanics can be a little unresponsive, but not to the point of frustration. Overall the only flaw I see in the game is the sad ending, which not only left me craving more, but also helped me decide Roxas is my favorite character in the franchise. This game will leave you wanting to play it again, and trust me it's worth it.
