Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is the game that binds KH with KH2, and as KH was a great game, everyone's been waiting to get their hands on Chain of Memories, well it's here and Im not disappointed. Sora, Donald and Goofy, search for Riku, and KIng Mickey, they arrive at a castle, named "Castle Oblivion" where their memories slowly fade as they go higher up in the castles floors. They meet a black robed man who learns Sora the basics of battle and the castle. Not going any more into the story, let's proceed to the gameplay portion. The gameplay basically consists of playing your cards right, litterary... You use cards as a means of attacking your enemies, the cards can be upgraded and even combined for more effective attacks. You can also summon Donald,Goofy, Cloud and so forth, by gaining their cards during battle, combining these cards give stronger effects. Enemy cards boost your attack range, recharge, effectivness of diffrent magic and so forth. The cards have values from 1-9 the stronger the card, the harder it is to block, its strength increases, and having the card in your stock takes alot of CP. CP is the value of cards you can hold, the stronger the card is,the more CP it takes. Another cool feature is "sleights" which are combined attack cards, this way you can use Arcanum, Blitz and many of the combos from the original game, these are aquired by reaching a certain level. The music is taken from the original game, the tracks are good, but can be repeative and sometimes annoying. Don't prepare yourself for a revolution on this front. The game has many sound effects though, like Sora screaming "Fire" when using the fire spell, and so forth, sword sounds, smashing sounds and so on. If your new to the Kingdom Hearts series, I suggest you play the original game first, as you can get confused if not. For those of you wanting the story the game provides, it's not really much unlike the original KH game, the diffrence is your moving around in a castle that makes replicas of places you've been from your memories. The game does however tell you a bit about forgotten friends, this "Axel" and, "the organization." Which seem from what I can tell, has some connection with KH2
