Not as good as its origin, Kingdom Hearts, but it definately makes good terms as a "sequel".

User Rating: 8.3 | Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories GBA
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is a worthy, charming game that embarks from where the PS2 version left off. Sora, still accompanied by the magician Donald and shield-slinger Goofy, faces a road split into paths. Taking the path that is ignited by his heart and senses, Sora soon come across a figure, who speaks to him in riddle. "Ahead lies something you need, but to obtain it, you must lose something that is dear to you." Not taking the full heed of these warnings, Sora continues and realizes that the path is leading him to Castle Oblivion, a wretched place where the farther you go, the more "memories" you lose.

Sora enters the castle and is stroked into a world that is real to him - but only through his memories. Each of Sora's memories is forged into a card, which he uses to summon familiar friends, unlock mysterious doors, and even gateway new worlds. Throughout the game, Sora must use these cards to battle enemies and defeat bosses.

But something more nefarious is at work. The Organization, a group of "Nobodies" that are devoid of any emotion, have captured a witch, Namine, and is forcing her to...well, you'll see!

This game is definately worthy in some aspects. The graphics were good for a GBA game, but in some cases, they did not capture the true magic that is ignited by a Kingdom Hearts game. The sound, ultimately, expressed the feelings of the scenery, yet they were not filling enough to be flawless.

I really didn't enjoy the fact that battles were governed by cards, but you get over it after a few battles. All in all, Chain of Memories wasn't as good as its origin, but it still pleases hardcore fans of the franchise.

I recomend this game to any fan of the original Kingdom Hearts, or people who enjoy Disney and Final Fantasy at its best.
