This Game is a must-have to all Kingdom Hearts fans, especially if you really want to understand the series itself!

User Rating: 8 | Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories GBA
The goods: Offers TWO (that's right, two!) stories in the game. Introduces even more original characters only for the series, plus a few twists in the story keeps the game always interesting. One of the best GBA graphics, by far. Delivers great musical themes and sound effects through out the story line. Actually needs a player to make some kind of clever strategy, thanks to the card-based gameplay. Allows you to actually play as Riku! Clever link between Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II.

The bads: Card-based gameplay can sometimes be frustrating or sometimes can prove to be a really cheap playing style, depending on the person. Locations prove to look not as good as it would've been.

Looks like the developers decided to make Kingdom Hearts' sequel a GBA game. It worked out pretty well, and the success of the game proves it. A problem about this game is that, it is a GBA platform and GBA only! This might upset the fans with no GBA, forcing them to get their own or borrow from someone else. This is nothing to those who have the GBA, just get the game! Onto the story!

Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Jimney Cricket all decide to look King Mickey and Riku together. They eventually stumble across a dark and mysterious castle called "Castle Oblivion" and finds themselves trapped, until they can reach the top floor of the tower. The story also introduces the mysterious "Organization" for the first time. Meanwhile, Riku also finds himself inside the castle and must go deeper inside to answer his questions. Quite interesting really, because you are actually trying to finish both separate story lines in order to get a complete picture on what the heck's on on.

Well the gameplay isn't at all bad, because it is more challenging compared to it's prequel and sequel. But really, it is probably the only frustrating part of the game and its not all bad. Both stories are also fairly long, expected nothing less from the Kingdom Heart series.

There are a lot of good qualities of the game that far outweighs any bad qualities. One of the best thing about this game is the outstanding graphics, something the player finds out at the beginning of the game. The sound is also great, although it isn't as impressive as the rest of the series, it still gives above-average satisfaction to any GBA player. Again, the story is done extremely well, and your probably spending your time with the game for the story's sake, that, plus a second story to work on makes it a true gift to anyone especially to the series' fans.

The over-all great qualities of the game makes it a worth while addition to the series. And for those of you who aren't fans, you'll probably like the game anyways.
