We waited a long time, and I'm glad we did.
Gameplay - It has a very similar gameplay style compared to the first one, yet they have added more special features, such as Drives and alternate summoning attacks. Fighting has never been so much fun, not to mention it feels like you can do ten attacks in mid-air without falling back down to the ground.
Another thing to bring up is the camera control. It is controlled by the push of the right analog stick rather than the L2 and R2 buttons from the original Kingdom Hearts. Thus, the camera is now even more controllable and smoother than ever.
Graphics - The characters displayed in this game have a more life-like look to them (Especially the characters in the Pirates of The Caribbean world). Not to mention so many textures have been fitted onto the screen, and this is the PS2 we're talking about. It normally cannot stand too much power on its hands, but it sure did prove otherwise this time around! Don't forget that at times MANY heartless can be on the screen all at once (ie: The mountain mini-game) and would cause no lag. Absolutely incredible.
Sound - Yoko Shimomura is back once again to supply us with the music to Kingdom Hearts II, and did she hit it right! All of the that are re-used for this game have been upgraded with better instrument samples and the exclusive songs are totally fitting when played. If there's one person that hit it just right, it's her.
Value - You can attack with your keyblade(s), you have smooth camera control, the story is incredible, summoning has taken a new turn on things, it has wonderful music, and it is a huge hype worth respecting.
Tilt - This game is awesome! Having Mickey Mouse fight in the game is just so cool, and I cannot wait to see everyone else out there in the world to enjoy this too. I have found what I have played of this game to be fantastic and I will not trade it for any other game in the world, and unfortunately, not even The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
Please buy this game. It is totally worth the value and will last you at least 40+ hours (Depending on how fast you play, that is). Take care your time, and enjoy the magical goodness of Disney combined with Square, once again.
Score: 10 - Perfect
