This has vast improvements over the first game and is quite possibly one of the best games for the PS2.

First of all I would like to say that I COULD NOT play the first one. I know I am now hated by quite a few people foor it, but I got stuck, and just got bored with it. This just shows how much better this game is. I couldn't force myself to finish the first one, but I couldn't put this one down. The reaction commands were one of the best improvements that made this stand out from any other hack and slash game out there. Although this is considered a roleplaying game, not much character customization exists, which might disappoint people who were expecting that. Although it helps to play through the first one, I've heard, the inro sequence sums up both Kingdom Hearts and Chain of Memories so you won't be lost if, like me, you didn't play the first one. Another disappointment to some people including me, is THE DISNEY CHARACTERS. I hated hearing Goofy's gibberish and Donald's lisp type thing going on. This took away from the seriousness of the game. One last bad is that Roxas was much cooler than Sora. Other than that the game is excellent. The music is amazing; i watched the opening sequence at least five times in the week that i had borrowed it.For anyone with doubts, PLAY THIS GAME. Even if the disney characters seem odd, it is still an awesome game
