Everything you could want from a KH game, bigger and better than the first.

User Rating: 9.5 | Kingdom Hearts II PS2
Wow. Where to begin.

First of all, you will no idea what is going on in this game if you haven't already played Kingdom Hearts (PS2) and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (GBA). It also wouldn't hurt to be somewhat familar with the worlds of Square and Disney.

Everything about this game is better than the first. The glitchy controlls and camera has been fixed, there are more worlds to explore, more playable characters, deeper RPG elements, and tons of side quests. Even the gummi ship is more fun.

Gameplay.

Well, if you didn't like the hack n' slash stylings of the first KH, chances are you won't like this either. I did like it, and I must admit it has improved quite a bit. It is much more fluid, and dynamic. Everything is much smoother and easier. The game moves quick enough and has enough bonuses, mini games, and plot twists to keep the gameplay fresh and for the most part keep it from becoming repeptetive.

Graphics.

Well, the graphics on this are very good considering its age and platform-the PS2. The art style is great, and everything has a distinct Disney animation look. There are no frame rate issues either.

Sound.

The voice acting is top notch, as is the music. The music is once again a Final Fantasy and Disney hybrid, and the voice acting features Disney Channel stars, and even some bigger names like Haley Joel Osment and Christopher Lee (Saruman, Count Dooku).

Value.

This game is pretty cheap now and defintly worth checking out, considering it is good for about 30 or so hours of memorable gameplay.

Reviewers Tilt.

I love this game, even more than the first. Everything about it screams that Square really put quite a bit of effort into this. Its entertaining from start to finish, introduces some cool new characters to the franchise, and leaves the player wanting more (KHIII please). Once again, this game is extremely memorable. You will remember your first steps into certain worlds, depending on which Disney characters you hold the most nostalgia for. If you like Final Fantasy, there are even more FF cameos here than the first. This game is extremely enjoyable and unforgettable. Two thumbs up, and my highest reccomendations.
