User Rating: 10 | Kingdom Hearts PS2
Kingdom Hearts dawned a new era for many...combining the world of Disney with one of the most popular franchises to date, Square-Enix. This game took the nation by storm when it hit shelves. Starring a heart warming Final Fantasy like character known as Sora, Sora found himself in a mystical and magical universe of Disney. Wielding a powerful weapon known as the Keyblade, Sora battled against the evil plaguing the Disney universe known as the Heartless. Fighting alongside Disney favorites Goofy and Donald, Sora had to destroy the Heartless in many popular Disney worlds. Sora and friends have to discover who's behind this evil plot and stop it at its source. This story will steal your heart and entertain you from beginning to end.

Playing the game is the best treat of all as it should be. The game is an RPG base so like the tradition of the genre, you level up, grow stronger, and get new weapons, items, magic, skills and abilities. You control Sora at most times during battle as Donald and Goofy and other Disney friends aid you in battle. Like a FF title, magic, skills and abilities are accessible during battle. An interesting addition that is quite innovative is the gummi ship travel. You take parts to a ship and build your own for space travel between worlds. It can be fun and challenging, like a game in itself. There are definitely no complaints in this great title.

The Storyline is superb and fitting for both the world of Square-Enix and Disney. Keeping well with Disney tradition and respecting Square-Enix principles, Kingdom Hearts is respectable to both great companies. With a vast array of fan favorites from the world of Disney, gamers are sure to enjoy this well scripted masterpiece. Also Kingdom Hearts is sure to please Final Fantasy fans as cameo appearances are made by fan favorites like FF8 and FF7's Squall and Cloud.

Graphics are rich and superb. Like a real live animation, Kingdom Hearts has superior graphics to many animated games on the market. Characters are detailed in their own animated way. The magic and might of the characters is displayed like fireworks in battle and looks gorgeous.

To hear the music and sounds of Kingdom Hearts can be fun and at times beautiful to hear. Combining the popular Disney music for many Disney titles and orchestrated sounds of Square-Enix's music composition is well seen or better heard.

To sum it up, Kingdom Hearts gets an A+ and makes the honor roll as a game among games. Pick it up today and you won't be sorry! Look for the sequel to hit shelves this March!
