Don't Let The Disney Label Fool The Older Crowd. This Game Will Intrigue Everyone.

Never before have I seen someone combining two powerhouses such as Disney and Square to make a game ever really work. This game, on the other hand, is nothing of the sort. This game gives you the best of both worlds(Disney didn't overshadow Square and vice versa). It has a good mix of both leaving the battling and story to Square(wisely) and the characters to Disney. The depth of this game is revealed in the battle system and not so much the story. Although the story is very intriguing. The gameplay that Square comes up with is as innovative as it gets. Action RPGs before this one should be taking note on how an Action RPG works. The story is pretty straightforward at first, you start out as a kid named Sora on an island with other kids who want to build a raft to get off their island and see other worlds. How did they get there you ask? Well that's the burning question. The game suddenly takes a turn for the best as Sora gets sucked into this door into another world. The basis of this game is travelling to different Disney worlds using a ship to get there. If I had to complain about this game it was travelling from world to world as you have to shoot random objects in your way or ships shooting at you(kinda like Galaga). This process gets very tedius. But all negatives aside. Kingdom Hearts offers a mix of Final Fantasy characters. If you're familiar with Final Fantasy 7 and 8 then you will recognize the characters in it. This is great cause if you're a Final Fantasy fan then you're gonna love seeing them in 3D and having their own voice actor. To move on to sound. The musical score in this game is very good. Especially the opening menu screen. The musical score is done by someone from Square(or so im guessing) because it gives you that feel. All in all, Kingdom Hearts is a very fun game. Don't let the Disney label fool the older crowd. This game is intriguing to everyone that will give it a chance. If you wanna play a game that has over 80 hours of gameplay then step right up to the door of Kingdom hearts and see what lies in store for you.
