Kingdom Hearts is easily the best RPG for the PS2.
Kingdom Hearts is an RPG game for the PS2. It combines Square's Final Fantasy characters with Walt Disney's Disney characters.The main character is a boy named Sora. He and travels around familiar Disney worlds while trying to stop the heartless.
Graphics:
The graphics in this game are stunning. All the disney characters look just like they should. Also the Final Fantasy characters like they should also. The worlds on which you play on and travel to look like they were taken right out of the movie and improved. The graphics are very similar to Final Fantasy X. Overall the graphics are just stunning.
Sound:
In my opinion this is the best part of Kingdom Hearts. The voice overs are absolutely perfect. The Disney characters sound like they do in all the movies. The worlds you travel to have song that match the movie well. Such as Atlanica has "Under the Sea" playing the background. The only drawback is the music can get repetitive. Overall the voice overs are perfect but the music could start to bug you.
Controls:
The controls for this game are well organized. You move with the analog stick. There is a menu button and dodge button. There is also a shortcut button.The drawback here is some controls are shared. Such as when swimming the circle button allows to ascend also allows you to swim faster. Other than that the controls are okay.
Storyline:
This game has an excellent storyline. As mentioned before you play as Sora and go to Disney Worlds. These include Wonderland,Deep Jungle(Tarzan),Olympus Coliseum(Hercules),Agrabah(Aladin),Atlantica(Little Mermaid),Monstro, Holloween Town(Nightmare Before Christmas)and Neverland (Peter Pan).Also new KH exclusive worlds are introduced. These include Traverse Town,Destiny Islands,Hollow Bastion, and The End of The World. Sora travels to these worlds in order to stop the heartless, find his friends, and help Donald and Goofy find King Mickey. Along the Way you meet the disney characters that correspond with their world. The storyline is kind of weird and takes a while to understand so don't get frustrated. This the meat of the game right here.
Overall:
This game is recommended for RPG fans and Disney fans. All parts of this game is solid enough to keep playing the game.It is DEFINATELY recommended to pick this game up. Happy gaming.
