One of the greatest games and series of time

User Rating: 10 | Kingdom Hearts PS2
I love this game to death, just like the series. This game pulled me into the world of fantasy gaming, and I'm thankful for it.

First off, I'm going to start with the graphics. The graphics for this, when the game was released in 2002, were top-notch and still are. They are unbelievable to see, especially the cut-scenes. The graphics are pure eyecandy for the player as they are immersed into the game's world, such as the training stage with the stained glass platforms which are undescribingly brilliant.

The gameplay is very easy to follow and not complicated at ALL. Those who enjoy easy to follow controls will be very pleased. The violence is fantasy, so there's no blood when you get hit or even die, just when you hit the enemies which is just a purple mist like substance that just disapates when vanquished.

The story is very immense, having introduce characters, worlds, and plot-twists at all the right moments. The characters include classic Disney characters, such as Goofy, Donald, etc. which makes it even funner to play and is more accessable to children, which is always good if a youngin' is at your house. The worlds consist of mostly Disney worlds, but the world you start out in and a few more you will vist have been developed for the story and plotline. It hooks you in right from the start.

The soundtrack is consisted of compositions that fit the world or battle scene, speaking of which has been released on CD (if you like instrumentals and just the music of the game in general, I strongly recomend you pick this up. I have.). They are mostly very good.

I said that the game was easy becasue that's the difficulty I beat it on. They have three difficulties in the game: Easy, Normal, Hard. So, if you feel you comfortable on your playing level. Although, this game is challenging. I waited a LONG time before I picked it up and played again, considering I almost tore my hair out over one part of a world where I was constantly getting killed by the enemies. So, it does take a little strategy, but regardless it's still really fun.

If you like fantasy games, and Disney stuff, and seeing some old familiar faces from the Final Fantasy crew, definately pick this up.
