Kingdom Hearts Review

User Rating: 9.8 | Kingdom Hearts PS2
Kingdom Hearts was the first in the three of the unpredictable yet successful cross between SquareSoft (now Square Enix) and Disney.

For me this game was a great addition to the RPG world of gaming. It was the first RPG that I played were I actually liked the characters (well, character). I had a nice touch of humour in places which I always look out for in RPG’s and it had my favourite character out of RPG’s, Cloud Strife =D. I have spent many hours glued to the screen to find out where Sora’s adventure will take him next and if he will ever rescue Kairi and Riku. Every world is colourful and all are totally explorable.

There aren’t many side quests in Kingdom Hearts but the story should keep you going for the best part of 40hours and if you are a true die hard fan you’ll want to train to beat the REAL final boss (I won’t spoil it for you…).

The battle system is real time which means the days of waiting your turn are gone and if you see an enemy you can run up to it, slash it to a pulp and carry on your quest. The computer AI is second to none and it actually learns from you and your actions. Donald and Goofy have never been so useful!!!

Whether you are a FF fan or not, young or old (don’t be put of by the Disney aspect) you will love this game and spend many hours in front of your TV watching the characters every move in this epic Square, Disney cross.

Enjoy!!!
