Excellent game all around. Kingdom hearts truly captured the feel of what a good game should be...
From the start, many people may laugh at Kingdom Hearts for being a game with Disney Characters mixed with Final Fantasy Characters. However, once you check the game out, you will not be laughing any more.
This game is one of the most amazing games to date. It has stunning graphics, excellent sound, and awesome gameplay. While the game does become a little repetative at time in the beginning, you will find yourself emerged in the game instantly.
Kingdom Hearts will keep you wondering what is going to happen next at almost all times during gameplay. It has many different secrets and bonus features that can be reached by completing different tasks throughout the game. The game offers a few different minigames that can keep you busy when you get bored or just feel like going off track a bit.
With an assortment of different worlds to travel to. Each world has many of its own aspects that others do not. For example, you can fly, swing on vines, put on halloween costumes, become a mermaid, or even become a heartless for a small period of time. Also, each world give you a character that you can choose to have replace Goofy or Donald from you party. Some of these characters include Tarzan, Jack, Aladin, and the Beast. The combat system in Kingdom Hearts is almost perfect. It doesn't feel funny at all when being used, and it can be configured many different ways to comfort your spell, item, and weapon needs for the moment. Each character will get a number of different abilities. Sora, being the main character, has a variety of abilities. From things that heal you, shield you, look awesome, and deal devestating blows to enemies, you will never have trouble gaining a liking towards any of them.
In the game you fight a series of creatures called 'Heartless'. These creatures can be small, big, and anywhere in between. Each creature has its own special meaning in the game and can be very challenging at times. Also, each boss has its own unique and challenging fighting style. At times you will be wondering if that really was a boss, and at other you will be yelling at the tv asking why you can get even 2 blows in!
Kingdom Hearts is a true classic and every PS2 owner should have it. It will be a game that many like myself will continue to love and enjoy forever.
