FOR THE HORDE!!!!!!!.....

User Rating: 8.4 | Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders XBOX
From the slogan "I think I got some Rupert on ME", to the addictive hack and slash action combined with innovative real-time strategy gameplay, you wont turn off your Xbox for hours once you start a campaign in Kingdom Under Fire.

Graphics:
The environments are really well descripted and designed well. It really gives you a feel of what it was like in the middle ages. The character models are mostly created with some depth, although no lip motions and movements might have people scratching their heads, it wont take your eyes off the kick ass action of fighting dozens of enemies on screen at once, while commandeering massive armadas at your disposal.

Sound:
UNLEASH THE HORDE!!!....Thats what you'll be reciting after you hear some of the ambient rock tunes and some metal that appears in the game. However, the game tends to be slightly misleading. It says on the back of the box that it offers custom sountracks within the game. However, there is no way to enable that option in the gameplay. Its something to look into, but it doesnt hurt the score of this dark age beat-em up/RTS title.

Control:
Now here is where the immersion comes along. Controlling your characters and legions is presented in an interesting conceptual format. To move from point A to point B you will just point and click, as in some PC RTS's such as Starcraft. After you get to your destination, thats where the ass kicking will commence, as you will jump right into battle, and fight as if it were a hack and slash beat-em-up. Really diverse gameplay, adds to the uniqueness of this game. Controlling your character once you reach the enemies isnt difficult. Just move him and begin hacking away at the tons of enemies, or switch over to your archers and have them taken out from a distance. The choice is yours, and yours alone. Choose wisely.

Replay:
The single player campaign is challenging and will have you hooked for a while, and even when you're through with that you can take on people around the globe on Xbox Live. Test out your chivalry online and see who can be known as the ultimate strategist/warrior.

Overall:
I really enjoyed this game. It was really designed well, and features a ton of amazing battles you will encounter in the game. The new sense of RTS/beat-em up is presented really well in Kingdom Under Fire. The fighting system is simplistic, and enjoyable, and highly addictive at times. Slashing away at tons of enemies has never seemed better with the press of X, or Y to get the job done and clear your path. Kingdom Under Fire is a really fun game that should be played by anyone seeking action and a sense of elaborate gameplay.
