Fittingly, I'm the 1337th person to add this to their collection.

Kirby's Adventure. I didn't own a NES back in its heyday, but I've recently been splurging on retro consoles and games, and KA was one of the first on my list. As a fan of Kirby games and the Kirby in Smash Brothers (Melee), I had to play the earliest console game. And it is fantastic.

Graphics: 10/10

Yeah, I've had better SNES graphics, look at Super Mario World! Wait, what? These are on the NES? Holy christmas! Utterly fantastic and colourful in every way, and the enemies make me laugh. 10/10.

Great music, great sound. I could play the happy little tunes for hours, and the noises rarely get annoying, unlike some other games from that era. Very happy and polished.

Gameplay: 10/10

A basic platformer? Nein! Kirby has the one fundamental difference: he can swallow enemies to gain their powers, making playing through the game incredibly fun, as you encounter more and more enemies, and more and more unique powers. The levels are all very different, and although admittedly linear, they're still very fun.
