Easily a cannidate for the best game to appear on the NES

User Rating: 10 | Hoshi no Kirby: Yume no Izumi no Monogatari NES
I remember hearing this game by word of mouth from another kid while I was busy telling him how amazing Kirby's Dream Land was. So on Christmas morning, I was pleasently surprised when I popped this in to my NES. Not only was it the same great gameplay as one of my all time favorite Gameboy games but its much lengthier and Kirby can now copy the abilities of the enemies he eats. This was pretty major back then because beside maybe Megaman (which was only relevant to bosses), this hadn't been seen in any other game before. Going around and just swallowing every enemy in sight to see what copy ability they rendered was fun enough. It was also pretty cool to face a new villian after playing the two prior titles where King Dedede was the bad guy. Speaking of this, the game kind of has a twist ending.

My Breakdown:

What's Good:

- Playing Kirby on my NES!
- Finally seeing Kirby and Dream Land in color
- *SPOILER* The surprise "Kirby's Dream Land" level towards the end *SPOILER*
- Kirby's copy abilities
- The variety of copy abilities
- The "Back Drop" copy ability
- The story twist

What's Not-So-Good:

- Finding out that Kirby is really pink once everything is rendered in color

What's Bad: Nothing

In all, this is my all time favorite game for the NES and for anyone that didn't experience this game during the 8-bit era, you seriously missed out!
